Teaching
I've been teaching college classes focused broadly on human psychology and communication for over a decade. Prior to working in higher education I was a tennis pro, teaching and playing tennis to make a living. My teaching philosophies all revolve around a dyadic model of communication where both teachers and learners contribute, grow, and evolve together.
Research (Links: Google-Scholar or Research Gate)
With my research I look to enhance interpersonal communication in personal and professional contexts. I explore the origins, evolution, and impact of cultures and personal identities on interactions. Specifically, I consider how we form mental representations, develop verbal and nonverbal communication skills, and marshal intuition and cognition to actively manage our interactions with friends, family members, coworkers, lovers, and others.
Hobbies
In my free time I enjoy hiking and museums. I like to take bad photographs and swim. Also I rap.
